THE PATRIOT SOIL PROJECT ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL LAUNCH
The Patriot Soil Project announces its official launch on May 8 2014 at the resting place of Gary "Andy" Eckert in Toledo, Ohio.
By now, much of America has heard about Myles Eckert - the 9-year-old boy who found a magical $20 bill in a Cracker Barrel parking lot. Little did he or anyone else know, his desire to "pay-it-forward" would change so many lives. Myles is the son of the late Sgt. Gary "Andy" Eckert, who was killed in Iraq on May 8, 2005 when Myles was only 4 weeks old. The complete heartwarming story was covered by CBS Evening News reporter Steve Hartman. Hartman's "On The Road" segment telling Myles' story has been viewed by millions across America.
May 8, 2014 will be the ninth year anniversary of Andy's death. Tiffany Eckert, along with her son Myles and daughter Marlee, and Lt. Col. Frank Dailey, will gather at the resting place where valor proudly sleeps; Gary "Andy" Eckert's grave site. The Eckert family will be the first to collect soil from the resting place of a fallen loved one in support of The Patriot Soil Project.
