THE NATIONAL FLAG TOUR

On Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, a historic journey began in Sarasota, Florida — the official starting point of the National Patriot Soil Flag Tour. At Sarasota National Cemetery, Americans from across the region gathered to witness a moment unlike any other in the nation’s history.

For the first time, sacred soil collected from more than 5,000 veteran resting places throughout the state of Florida — representing many different cemeteries and memorial sites — was ceremonially attached to the Florida-designated star of the Patriot Soil Flag. Each grain of soil represents the life, sacrifice, and legacy of an American patriot who served this nation with honor.

This powerful ceremony marked the beginning of a national journey that is now continuing state by state across America — uniting the country through remembrance, patriotism, and gratitude.

As visitors gathered at Sarasota National Cemetery for the Memorial Day events, many heard the moving anthem, “Memorial to a Patriot,” echo throughout the grounds while witnessing the sacred soil being attached to the flag. The combination of music, ceremony, and remembrance created an emotional and unforgettable experience for veterans, families, and patriots alike.

For families whose loved ones are buried at Sarasota National Cemetery, Gary Robinson personally presented the “Salute of Honor” to many families throughout the Memorial Day ceremony — a solemn tribute recognizing the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans. These meaningful moments allowed families to ensure their loved one became part of a permanent national memorial honoring those who defended freedom.

Only a small amount of soil was collected, but the meaning was immeasurable. Each sample represented a story, a family, and a life dedicated to the nation.

The Patriot Soil Flag is more than a flag — it is a living memorial to America’s heroes. Each star will ultimately contain sacred soil from veterans across all 50 states, symbolizing unity through sacrifice and service.
